USAID awarded scholarships to flood-affected students

40 accomplished Pakistani undergraduates affected by last year's
floods have been awarded scholarships by the USAID. The scholarships have been funded
by USAID's Merit and Needs-based Scholarship Program (MNBSP) of the USAID and will
assist students in completing their degrees at seven Punjab universities.
The MNBSP, in
partnership with 30 Pakistani universities, has provided scholarships covering
tuition, housing, textbooks, and a food stipend to over 6,000 high-achieving
students from low-income backgrounds since 2004.
