The Punjab government has launched a scholarship program to assist talented students. Eligibility requires a minimum of 60% marks in matric and intermediate exams in 2023. Managed by the Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF), online applications are open until January 31, 2024. The initiative is inclusive, covering orphans, students with special needs, and children of government employees in grades 1 to 4 with a monthly salary below Rs. 60,000. Minority students, as recognized by the Department of Human Rights and Minority Affairs, are encouraged to apply. Additionally, children of civilians who lost their lives due to terrorism are eligible. The program aims to empower students from diverse backgrounds to pursue their academic goals.
