A remarkable £250,000 was raised at a Mellor gala dinner hosted by the Abaseen Foundation to aid schools and villages in North West Pakistan. Held at the Glass Marquee, Stanley House Hotel, the event featured speakers like HM Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire Amanda Parker JP, Lord Wajid Khan, and Professor StJohn Crean. Abaseen Foundation UK's CEO, Helen Bingley, expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted their impactful projects, including 'From Tears to Smiles,' assisting orphans, and collaborating with Benazir Bhutto Women’s University to establish a girls' degree college.
