The KORT School in Azad Kashmir earned the title of the best Global School in South Asia, winning the Zayed Sustainability Prize in Dubai. The school's pioneering water conservation and organic farming project surpassed competitors from India and Bangladesh. Presented by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the award recognizes initiatives addressing health, food, energy, water, and climate. Sumaiya Bibi, a KORT representative, emphasized the urgency of their water conservation efforts, addressing the looming water crisis in Pakistan by 2025. The school plans to utilize the prize money to implement water filtration plants and promote organic farming for rural sustainability.
