New timings announced for schools in Punjab

In response to the persistent cold wave in Punjab, the Department of School Education has compassionately extended the class timings for educational institutions. A notification mandates that schools will now begin classes at 9:30 am until January 31, aligning with the government's commitment to avoid extending holidays. This decision, announced by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on January 8, aims to mitigate the impact of severe cold weather on students. The adjusted timings strike a balance between ensuring educational continuity and safeguarding the well-being of students. Normal school hours will resume on February 1, allowing academic routines to proceed without further disruptions. This considerate approach underscores the government's dedication to fostering a conducive learning environment while addressing weather challenges, prioritizing both education and student safety.
