Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023 has been rescheduled following protests by the candidates. The test will now be held on the 10th of September (Sunday). Earlier, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) had announced that the MDCAT will be held on 27 August. Here is the rescheduling notification.

The notification is available at the PMDC’s website. Here is the link:                             https://pmdc.pk/Documents/Others/Public%20announcement%20for%20MDCAT%202023.pdf

Yesterday (15th August) a group of students protested outside the PMDC headquarters in Islamabad, voicing concerns over the date of entry test and 70% marks as the passing percentage saying that qualifying marks were too high.

While the PMDC has rescheduled the test date the passing marks remain unchanged. It is worth mentioning that medical colleges can admit only such students who have passed the MDCAT.
