Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Technology is launching the 'Smartphone for All' initiative, addressing financial challenges by offering smartphones through convenient installment plans. Aimed at fostering responsible financial behavior, the project allows telecom companies to provide phones via leasing plans, making mobile broadband accessible to a wider audience. The initiative covers smartphones valued from Rs10,000 to Rs100,000, with interest-free installments and a minimum 20 percent down payment. Eligible citizens, including students and low-income individuals, can apply with valid ID cards. As the seventh-largest global mobile phone market, Pakistan aims to bridge the digital divide, stimulating the economy and promoting digital inclusivity. For updates and applications, citizens can follow the Ministry's platform.
