Chinese Government Bestows Scholarships Upon 50 Pakistani Scholars


Fifty Pakistani scholars were granted esteemed Chinese government scholarships at a poignant send-off ceremony held by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The scholarships were awarded through the distinguished Chinese Government Scholarship Program. Pang Chunxue, the Charge D’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, was the esteemed Chief Guest as reported by Gwadar Pro. During the event, she highlighted the educational partnership's potential to benefit both nations, especially through collaborative strides in science and technology. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of HEC, noted that Pakistani students in China exceed 30,000, some recipients of government scholarships, others directly awarded by provinces, universities, and companies. He emphasized the scholars' role as ambassadors of both nations. The initiative, ongoing since 2019, underscores robust educational collaboration, offering invaluable opportunities for higher education.
