Dilawar Khan, a 65-year-old from Dir Upper, has made history by enrolling in the first grade of a local primary school, driven by a strong determination to master reading and writing skills. Despite the age gap with his much younger classmates, Dilawar's presence initially surprised others, but a heartening transformation ensued over time. Hailing from a financially struggling family, Dilawar couldn't pursue formal education in his youth but held onto his passion for learning. Recently, he seized the opportunity to revive his childhood dream by enrolling in Government Primary School Khongai. Dilawar attends school each morning with punctuality, emphasizing that age is just a number and not a formidable barrier to seeking knowledge. His story reflects resilience and a commitment to lifelong learning.
