The British Council announced on Friday, 18^th August) that A-level students whose exams were cancelled due to the events starting on 9^th May can retake their exams in free of cost in November. Only the exams cancelled on May 10, 11 and 12 can be retaken without a charge confirmed the Cambridge International country Director, Uzma Yousaf.

The British Council had taken the decision after the students had shown dissatisfaction with the results. The reason for dissatisfaction was the predicted grades awarded by the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) for the papers cancelled.
