The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has modified the language proficiency test for the 2025 Fulbright Scholarship Program. Instead of TOEFL, candidates are now required to pass the Duolingo English Test.
Generously funded by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Scholarship Program supports Pakistani students with tuition, textbooks, airfare, living stipends, and health insurance.
Eligibility criteria remain unchanged, welcoming Pakistani citizens with a strong academic background. Special encouragement is given to women, individuals with disabilities, and those from specific regions.
For Master’s program applicants, a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Ph.D. candidates should hold a Master’s, M.Phil, or equivalent degree.
Prospective applicants must submit an application form, three reference letters, a GRE score report, and scanned transcripts by the deadline of February 28, 2024, through the USEFP website. The shift to the Duolingo English Test emphasizes the program's commitment to educational excellence and global exposure for Pakistani scholars.
